This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee outreach efforts and national survey initiatives.
• Organize and manage survey processes, including kickoff, technical support, and wrap-up meetings; methods and schedules for data collection; informational materials; monitoring participation; following up on non-responses; and addressing unresolved documentation.
• Identify and oversee survey participants by querying and validating source data, preparing launch files, generating REDCap identifiers, maintaining distribution and contact records, configuring invitations, and sending reminders along with weekly status updates.
• Offer technical support via email, phone, web portals, webinars, and virtual meetings.
• Manage the NAC shared mailbox and create FAQs, guides, one-pagers, presentations, training materials, videos, social media content, reports, and products based on customer feedback.
• Oversee survey and inventory data across REDCap, SQL, Microsoft Access, Excel, and related platforms.
• Conduct data entry, validation, correction, linking, tagging, record creation, logging, audit documentation, records management, troubleshooting, integration, optimization, and transitions between platforms.
• Collaborate with developers to rectify duplication and data-flow challenges.
• Clean, audit, analyze, and protect survey data.
• Identify and report on missing, duplicate, inconsistent, out-of-range, or illogical values while maintaining quality-tracking reports.
• Analyze participation rates, non-responses, facility characteristics, trends, projections, potential bias, and containment performance.
• Develop facility, post-launch, monthly, annual, and national containment reports, dashboards, tables, presentations, and analytical outputs.
• Secure NAC approval prior to creating external analyses, reports, manuscripts, abstracts, or press materials.
• Utilize SAS, R, Power BI, SQL, and other approved tools to process data, create analysis-ready datasets, manage dashboards, develop visualizations, maps, methodologies, performance measures, and trend analyses.
• Automate workflows for technical support, data processing, and reporting.
• Implement the NAC Quality Management System and conduct quality assessments.
• Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidance, and documentation of processes.
• Identify opportunities for corrective actions, preventive measures, and continuous improvement.
• Create annual survey and non-response strategies, documenting sampling, clearance, training, privacy, processing, reporting, and timelines.
• Collaborate with CDC staff, facilities, developers, and multidisciplinary teams on data gaps, harmonization efforts, and mobile collection requirements.
• Assist with authorized meetings, site visits, training, scientific outputs, and dissemination activities.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in public health informatics, survey operations, data management, data analysis, database support, program reporting, or a related field.
• Experience in supporting survey administration, participant tracking, data collection, and follow-up with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in querying, cleaning, validating, transforming, documenting, and analyzing data from various sources.
• Experience in developing reports, dashboards, data visualizations, presentations, SOPs, and user manuals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in REDCap, SQL, Microsoft Access, Power BI, SAS, R, or similar tools.
• Capable of effectively communicating technical and programmatic information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, documentation ability, problem-solving aptitude, and customer service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet recurring deadlines, and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Capable of handling sensitive information while adhering to relevant security, privacy, quality, and records management requirements.
• Must be eligible to obtain government clearance.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any future time.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Public Health Informatics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
• Preferred: Experience supporting CDC, HHS, another federal public health program, or a public health laboratory network.
• Preferred: Experience with REDCap in survey administration, participant management, and reporting.
• Preferred: Experience with SQL databases, Microsoft Access, SAS, R, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Preferred: Knowledge of public health surveillance, biosafety, biosecurity, laboratories, poliovirus containment, or infectious disease programs.
• Preferred: Experience in developing data-quality frameworks, audit documentation, automation, or process improvement solutions.
• Preferred: Experience in preparing scientific, technical, executive, or customer-facing reports and presentations.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and using a computer.
• May occasionally require lifting up to 25 pounds.
