Public Engagement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a structured group of Instacart shopper and customer advocates in key Midwest, mid-Atlantic, and Southern regions.

• Foster community engagement through consistent in-person and virtual interactions.

• Leverage email, SMS, organic social media, and various digital channels to promote grassroots involvement.

• Set benchmarks, monitor campaign effectiveness, and implement insights to enhance results.

• Proactively track political and policy changes.

• Recognize and present strategic grassroots opportunities to leadership.

• Work alongside the Federal Affairs team to engage federal stakeholders through targeted grassroots initiatives.

• Incorporate the voices of shoppers, customers, and community members into federal advocacy efforts.

• Quickly mobilize Instacart advocates for urgent policy campaigns across diverse locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in grassroots organizing, community outreach, digital strategy, political campaigns, or public affairs.

• Capability to recruit, train, develop, and deploy advocate networks effectively.

• Proficiency in grassroots mobilization techniques.

• Strong skills in digital organizing, with experience in CRM systems, advocacy platforms, email and SMS initiatives, and organic social media engagement.

• Background in monitoring digital campaign performance and utilizing insights for ongoing improvement.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Self-motivated individual who stays informed on political developments and identifies organizing possibilities.

• Capacity to manage several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to travel frequently across the Midwest, mid-Atlantic, and South.

• Preferred: Experience with Quorum or similar CRM and advocacy tools.

• Preferred: Knowledge of gig economy, labor, food access, or technology policy matters.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting elected officials or government affairs team engagement.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Slack, Google Workspace, and AI technologies.
