Public Credit Research Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct and communicate essential credit research on both investment grade and high-yield corporate credits.

• Provide Buy/Sell/Hold recommendations for integration into the company's General Account.

• Analyze regional banking institutions.

• Collaborate closely with the senior bank analyst as well as the Public Credit Analysis and Portfolio Management teams.

• Identify optimal opportunities for the portfolio.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with sell-side analysts, credit rating agencies, and other sources of information.

• Contribute to Pacific Life's growth and long-term success through informed fixed-income investment choices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in investment research.

• At least 2 years dedicated to the US Bank sector.

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• Proficiency in analyzing and modeling financial metrics and business strategies.

• Familiarity with bank regulations and capital requirements.

• Knowledge of financial markets and products.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with financial databases, such as Bloomberg.

• Ability to articulate complex topics clearly and succinctly.

• A passion for a career in fixed-income investing and a strong intellectual curiosity.

• An MBA or CFA designation is an advantage.
