This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take the initiative to lead projects that target specific areas of enhancement or opportunity for public agency sites.

• Carry out and oversee research and operational analyses to pinpoint unique improvement opportunities for each agency location.

• Conduct interviews with stakeholders and agency staff, perform case reviews, administer surveys, assess performance data, and execute organizational analyses.

• Spearhead practice improvement initiatives at 1–2 sites while also supporting efforts at an additional 2–3 sites as needed.

• Utilize statewide performance data and relevant metrics to identify prospective sites for New Allies engagement.

• Recognize strengths and areas for improvement within crucial aspects of state agency practices.

• Relay findings and recommendations to Youth Villages leaders, site leaders, stakeholders, and local child welfare professionals.

• Build and sustain relationships with child welfare leaders.

• Keep a robust understanding of current trends, developments, and innovations in child welfare practices.

• Coordinate initiatives among various stakeholders to enhance collective impact.

• Offer coaching and support to leaders within the public child welfare system.

• Create resources and policy/practice guides.

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience working with a public child welfare agency (all relevant experience will be considered, including internships).

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), healthcare administration (MHA/MHSA), public administration (MPA), psychology (MP), or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in supervising child welfare professionals.

• Background in both frontline roles and systems-level leadership.

• A strong passion for Youth Villages’ mission and a drive to enhance systems serving children and families.

• Capability to lead project teams with minimal oversight.

• Ability to cultivate trusting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Proficient communication, listening, presentation, and senior-leader engagement skills.

• Strong critical thinking abilities and the skill to distill analyses into key insights.

• Ability to assess child welfare agencies from a systems perspective.

• Knowledge of state and federal government funding streams that support child welfare and related services.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

• Candidates with lived experience or a personal connection to foster care or other social service systems are highly encouraged to apply.
