Psychotherapist, LGBTQ+ Speciality

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct phone consultations.

• Offer psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, groups of 3 or more, and families.

• Maintain a full-time caseload of around 28–30 clients, completing 25 sessions weekly; smaller caseloads of 20–24 may be accommodated.

• Manage a part-time caseload of approximately 18 clients.

• Keep detailed case notes, logs, and necessary documentation.

• Provide group therapy as required.

• Optionally write a blog four times a year.

• Engage in weekly or biweekly individual supervision and participate in available weekly group clinical supervision.

• Assist in the development and execution of G&STC workshops, training sessions, and seminars.

• Perform marketing duties for yourself and G&STC as needed or desired.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold an LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC, or LMHC and be licensed in New York.

• Reside in New York or New Jersey.

• Commit to a minimum of 3 years with G&STC.

• Have education, training, and proven success in implementing CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic therapies, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Possess at least 1 year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and delivering psychotherapy services.

• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience providing therapy for individual, couples, multiple-partner relationships, and/or family therapy.

• Require at least 1 year of experience working with LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous individuals.

• Include at least 1 year of experience addressing sexual-related issues, such as sexual anxiety, functioning, pain, and compulsive sexual behaviors.

• Demonstrate a high level of competence regarding gender, sex, and sexuality, with expertise in working with LGBTQ+ populations, alternative sexualities, and sexual-related matters.

• Be organized and capable of submitting progress notes and responding to emails promptly, adhering to G&STC policies.

• Submit both a cover letter and a resume.

• Therapists with private practices or those working in other group practices will not be considered.
