Psychotherapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct phone consultations.

• Full-time role: Delivers psychotherapy services to a minimum caseload of approximately 28-30 clients, encompassing individuals, couples, groups of 3 or more, and families. A full-time schedule is defined as completing 25 sessions per week, although smaller caseloads of 20-24 may be considered.

• Part-time role: Offers psychotherapy services to a minimum caseload of around 18 clients, including individuals, couples, groups of 3 or more, and families.

• Maintain comprehensive case notes, logs, and all necessary documentation.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions as required.

• Optional blog writing four times a year.

• Engage in individual supervision weekly or biweekly, with group clinical supervision available weekly.

• Contribute to the development and execution of G&STC workshops, training sessions, and seminars as opportunities arise.

• Undertake marketing activities for oneself and G&STC, as desired or necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold an LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC, or LMHC license in New York.

• Reside in New York or New Jersey.

• Commit to a minimum of three years with G&STC.

• Possess education, training, and a proven track record in employing modalities such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness techniques, trauma-informed practices, somatic therapies, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Have at least one year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and delivering psychotherapy.

• Have at least one year of experience providing individual, couples, multi-partner, and/or family therapy.

• Have at least one year of experience working with LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous clients.

• Have at least one year of experience addressing sexual issues, including sexual anxiety, functioning, pain, and compulsive sexual behaviors.

• Demonstrate a high level of competence regarding gender, sex, and sexuality, with specific expertise in areas such as working with LGBTQ+ individuals, alternative sexualities, and sexual-related concerns like anxiety, functioning, compulsive behaviors, discomfort, and pain.

• Be organized and capable of submitting progress notes and responding to emails promptly, in line with G&STC policies.
