Psychometrician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Evaluate validated assessments like the PHQ-9, GAD-7, and BFI to identify key constructs pertinent to the client profiling model.

• Streamline and reword assessment items into concise, accessible questions while preserving construct alignment and internal consistency.

• Create short-form versions containing 3–6 questions per domain for tagging and personalization logic.

• Work in collaboration with Product and Clinical teams to establish response scales, scoring logic, and tag mappings.

• Record the rationale and traceability between simplified items and the original validated scales.

• Offer insights on psychometric soundness during the pilot testing and data collection stages.

• Assess modified, shortened, product-friendly questions against original validated instruments to ensure fidelity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Psychometrics, Psychology, or Educational Measurement (or equivalent experience).

• Proven experience in test construction, adaptation, and validation, including reliability and construct validity.

• Strong understanding of psychological constructs such as motivation, emotion regulation, and well-being.

• Ability to simplify intricate assessments for lay audiences without compromising validity.

• Exceptional written communication and clear documentation abilities.
