This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients in an outpatient environment.
• Deliver medication management and therapeutic services to a varied patient demographic.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation adheres to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in psychiatric treatment and research methodologies.
• Refer patients for psychotherapy when deemed appropriate.
• Collaborate with mental health professionals involved in the care of patients to provide comprehensive treatment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, completing documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.
• Advocate for the needs and rights of clients, including their access to psychiatric services and medications.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• Possess an active, unrestricted medical license in Michigan, or be willing to obtain one.
• Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO).
• Hold and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number along with all necessary licenses and certificates required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults (ages 5–80) in a private practice setting.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic techniques.
• Possess knowledge of evidence-based interventions in the field of psychiatric treatment.
