Psychiatric Supervising Physician – Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the supervising physician for psychiatric Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).

• Offer clinical oversight for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) providing psychotherapy, ensuring compliance with relevant state laws and scope-of-practice requirements.

• Set and uphold clinical standards for adult behavioral health populations within psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care.

• Provide clinical consultations on intricate cases.

• Perform chart reviews and quality audits.

• Support behavioral health protocols and care standards.

• Engage in occasional case reviews and team meetings.

• Offer advice on program development as the organization expands.

• Deliver clinical decision-making and oversight throughout the medical practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• An M.D. or D.O. with Board certification in Psychiatry is mandatory.

• An active psychiatry license in Pennsylvania and/or Vermont is required.

• Possession of an active unrestricted license in at least one participating state.

• Capability to acquire additional licenses with support from the company.

• Preferably, experience in supervising psychiatric APPs and/or LCSWs in telehealth or multi-state settings.

• Strong understanding of psychiatric clinical guidelines, quality metrics, documentation expectations, and regulatory standards.

• Preferably experienced with Medicaid and Medicare populations and integrated behavioral health care models.

• Proven leadership in clinical program development, provider oversight, and quality enhancement.

• Exceptional communication abilities with care teams, cross-functional partners, and patients.

• Comfort in a growing, remote-first organization is essential.

• Board certification in Psychiatry is required.

• Must be capable of providing clinical decision-making and oversight throughout the medical practice.
