Psychiatric Supervising Physician – Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the supervising physician for psychiatric advanced practice providers (APPs), including psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs).

• Offer clinical oversight for licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) providing psychotherapy in alignment with relevant state regulations and scope-of-practice standards.

• Develop and uphold clinical standards for adult behavioral health populations across psychiatric and psychotherapeutic services.

• Provide clinical consultation for complex cases.

• Execute chart reviews and quality audits.

• Support the implementation of behavioral health protocols and care standards.

• Engage in occasional case reviews and team meetings.

• Provide guidance on program development as the organization expands.

• Deliver clinical decision-making and oversight within the medical practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with Board certification in Psychiatry is required.

• Must possess an active psychiatry license in Pennsylvania and/or Vermont.

• Hold an active unrestricted license in at least one participating state.

• Capability to obtain additional licenses with support from the company.

• Prior experience supervising psychiatric APPs and/or LCSWs in telehealth or multi-state settings is preferred.

• Strong understanding of psychiatric clinical guidelines, quality metrics, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Experience with Medicaid and Medicare populations and integrated behavioral health care models is strongly preferred.

• Proven leadership in clinical program development, provider oversight, and quality improvement.

• Exceptional communication skills with care teams, cross-functional partners, and patients.

• Comfortable working within a growing, remote-first organization.

• Availability of approximately 10–20 hours per week.
