Psychiatric Prescriber Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Offer daily leadership, guidance, and support to the Psychiatric Prescriber team.

• Assist providers with inquiries regarding patient interactions, workflows, policies, procedures, and organizational expectations.

• Mentor and develop team members to foster performance, accountability, and professional development.

• Facilitate the onboarding and training of newly recruited Psychiatric Prescribers.

• Oversee provider utilization, session targets, adherence, engagement, and no-show metrics.

• Organize and manage provider schedules to enhance patient access, payer alignment, and equitable distribution of appointments.

• Review and authorize time worked while ensuring accurate timekeeping practices are upheld.

• Collaborate with clinical leadership to identify and resolve performance, workflow, and operational issues.

• Coordinate aspects of patient care and offer support related to patients' medical and clinical needs.

• Act as a liaison between Psychiatric Prescribers and clinical leadership.

• Provide training on aptihealth policies, procedures, workflows, and platform functionalities.

• Collect provider feedback and assist in pinpointing opportunities for platform and operational enhancements.

• Prepare and relay pertinent team performance and operational information to leadership.

• Encourage adherence to relevant professional standards, organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and clinical protocols.

• Assist with additional clinical and operational initiatives as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is mandatory.

• Prior experience in supporting, leading, mentoring, coaching, training, or onboarding healthcare professionals in a healthcare or behavioral health setting, including provider performance and clinical workflows.

• Familiarity with case management principles, healthcare operations, and reimbursement practices.

• Direct clinical experience in behavioral or mental healthcare, with knowledge of psychiatric care delivery, medication management, clinical workflows, provider performance, and behavioral health operations.

• Proven ability to coach employees, address performance challenges, and promote behavior change.

• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical records management.

• Strong proficiency in technology and virtual communication tools, including facilitating virtual training, meetings, and team communications.

• Demonstrated capability to maintain confidentiality for both patients and employees.

• Excellent collaborative leadership skills and experience working closely with psychiatric prescribers, clinical leadership, and cross-functional operational partners to address scheduling, workflow, performance, and patient-care issues, including appropriate patient communication when escalation or clinical support is needed.

• PMHNP-BC certification is required.

• Preferred experience in leading psychiatric or behavioral health providers and managing complex provider scheduling, productivity, utilization, or other performance expectations.

• Formal supervisory experience is preferred.

• Experience working directly with psychiatric prescribers, behavioral health clinicians, or interdisciplinary behavioral health teams is preferred.

• Previous experience supervising psychiatric prescribers is preferred.
