Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP – Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and manage ongoing medication via video consultations.

• Provide treatment for adults, children, and adolescents dealing with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, serious mental illnesses, and co-occurring conditions.

• Evaluate risk during each appointment and collaborate with the clinical team to address crisis situations.

• Record patient information using InSync EHR, including e-prescribing (EPCS).

• Process medication refills and prior authorizations within a two-business-day timeframe.

• Participate in virtual treatment team and case consultation meetings.

• Deliver patient-centered care by utilizing clear language, patience, and a compassionate approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification as a CRNP-PMH in Maryland.

• Current national PMHNP board certification (ANCC or AANP).

• Active DEA registration in Maryland.

• Current CDS registration in Maryland.

• Registered with the Maryland PDMP (CRISP), or willing to register before the start date.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric prescribing; new graduates with a designated Maryland mentor will be considered.

• Professional liability insurance coverage of $1M per claim and $3M in aggregate.

• A private workspace that complies with HIPAA regulations.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet.

• Enrollment with Maryland Medicaid, or willingness to enroll.

• Must possess a valid Maryland license.

• Experience with children and adolescents is preferred.

• Preferred experience in community mental health, Medicaid, or psychiatric rehabilitation settings.

• Familiarity with InSync or a comparable EHR is preferred.

• Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are preferred.
