This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
β’ Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations utilizing evidence-based assessment instruments.
β’ Identify and treat mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and various personality disorders.
β’ Prescribe, oversee, and track psychiatric medications.
β’ Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, monitor side effects, and ensure patient adherence.
β’ Create, execute, and modify personalized treatment plans.
β’ Work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary behavioral health team.
β’ Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare professionals, including making referrals as necessary.
β’ Educate patients about their diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and prescribed medications.
β’ Keep accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation.
β’ Adhere to legal, ethical, organizational, state, and federal standards.
β’ Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
β’ Valid Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Registered Nurse (RN) licenses in relevant states.
β’ DEA registration and prescribing authority in every state where patients are treated.
β’ Preference for multistate licensure, focusing primarily on Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
β’ At least two (2) years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
β’ Experience in treating patients aged 13 and above.
β’ Strong clinical understanding of psychiatric conditions and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
β’ Proven expertise in managing psychiatric medications.
β’ Exceptional clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building rapport in a virtual care environment.
β’ Dedication to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.
β’ Familiarity with Athena One EHR and remote clinical workflows.
β’ Maintain all necessary credentials and adhere to relevant state and federal regulations.
β’ Virginia practitioners requiring physician collaboration must secure and maintain a collaborating physician at their own expense.
