Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform initial visits through telehealth, including psychiatric diagnostic evaluations (CPT 90791) or E/M visits.

• Establish diagnoses, determine medical necessity, and create care plans for patients entering PIN-PS programs.

• Document each visit in the EHR within 48 hours to meet clean, billable standards.

• Acquire and document patient consent for navigation services when necessary.

• Act as the billing practitioner of record for enrolled patients.

• Provide general oversight of certified peer support specialists delivering navigation services related to the practitioner's services.

• Conduct clinically indicated and mutually agreed upon follow-up visits.

• Collaborate with quality, audit, and payer-compliance initiatives.

• Ensure continuity of care during transitions to successor practitioners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active, unrestricted APRN/NP license in one or more of the following states: Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York.

• National board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

• Compliance with any state-specific requirements for physician collaboration, supervision, or protocol arrangements.

• Active NPI number.

• Eligibility to enroll with and reassign benefits to the organization's professional entities for both Medicare and Medicaid.

• Must not have been excluded from any federal or state healthcare program.

• Comfort in providing telehealth care to adults with significant behavioral health conditions.

• Value peer support as an integral part of the care team.

• Subject to credentialing, exclusion screening, and payer enrollment processes.
