Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform initial visits, including psychiatric diagnostic evaluations (CPT 90791) or E/M visits, through telehealth for patients enrolling in PIN-PS programs.

• Determine diagnosis, medical necessity, and the care plan to support navigation services.

• Record each visit in the EHR within 48 hours, adhering to clean, billable standards.

• Obtain and document patient consent for navigation services when required.

• Act as the billing practitioner of record for enrolled patients.

• Provide general oversight of certified peer support specialists delivering navigation services as part of the practitioner's offerings.

• Conduct clinically necessary and mutually agreed follow-up visits.

• Collaborate with quality assurance, audit, and payer compliance initiatives.

• Ensure continuity of care during practitioner transitions when terminating without cause.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted APRN/NP licensure in one or more of the following states: Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York.

• National board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

• Necessary state physician collaboration, supervision, or protocol arrangement where applicable.

• Active NPI.

• Qualified to enroll with and reassign benefits to professional entities for Medicare and Medicaid.

• Not previously excluded from any federal or state healthcare program.

• Comfortable providing telehealth care for adults with serious behavioral health issues.

• Value peer support as an integral part of the care team.

• Subject to credentialing, exclusion screening, and payer enrollment processes.
