This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.
• Perform initial visits, which may include psychiatric diagnostic evaluations (CPT 90791) or E/M visits, through telehealth for patients entering the PIN-PS programs.
• Establish diagnoses, medical necessity, and a care plan that supports navigation services.
• Document each appointment in the EHR within 48 hours, adhering to clean, billable standards.
• Obtain and record patient consent for navigation services where necessary.
• Act as the billing practitioner of record for enrolled patients.
• Provide general supervision of certified peer support specialists who deliver navigation services under the practitioner’s guidance.
• Conduct clinically appropriate and mutually agreed follow-up appointments.
• Collaborate with quality assurance, audit, and payer compliance initiatives.
• Remain accessible as the supervising clinician while peer specialists provide ongoing navigation.
• Possession of an active, unrestricted APRN/NP license in one or more of the following states: Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York.
• National board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
• Physician collaboration, supervision, or protocol arrangement is mandated by the respective state regulations.
• Active NPI is required.
• Must be eligible to enroll with and reassign benefits to professional entities for Medicare and Medicaid.
• Must not have been excluded from any federal or state healthcare programs.
• Comfort in providing telehealth services to adults dealing with serious behavioral health issues.
• Valuing peer support as an integral part of the care team.
• Subject to credentialing, exclusion screening, and payer enrollment processes.
• Professional liability coverage is provided at the organization's expense ($1M per claim / $3M aggregate).
• A flexible telehealth-based contractor role.
• Ability to manage your own schedule.
• Non-exclusive engagement; practitioners are allowed to maintain other practices.
• Comprehensive per-service reporting.
• Assistance with necessary physician collaboration, supervision, or protocol arrangements.
