This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
β’ Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.
β’ Identify and treat mental health disorders, such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, OCD, ADHD, and personality disorders.
β’ Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications in line with clinical guidelines and state regulations.
β’ Evaluate treatment efficacy, side effects, and patient compliance.
β’ Create, implement, and modify personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary clinical team.
β’ Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare practitioners.
β’ Refer patients to additional services when clinically indicated.
β’ Educate patients about their diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and prescribed medications.
β’ Maintain prompt, precise, and comprehensive clinical documentation.
β’ Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
β’ Engage in quality improvement efforts within a virtual care setting.
β’ Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in relevant states.
β’ Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in relevant states.
β’ Multistate licensure preferred, with a primary clinical focus on Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
β’ At least two (2) years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
β’ Experience in treating patients aged 13 and above.
β’ Strong clinical understanding of psychiatric disorders and evidence-based treatment methods.
β’ Proven expertise in managing psychiatric medications.
β’ Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to establish rapport in a virtual care environment.
β’ Dedication to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered care.
β’ Familiarity with Athena One EHR and remote clinical workflows.
β’ Active DEA registration and prescribing authority in all states where patients are served.
β’ Maintain all necessary credentials and comply with applicable state and federal regulations.
β’ Virginia providers requiring physician collaboration must secure and maintain a collaborating physician at their own cost.
β’ Must ensure ongoing adherence to state regulations governing collaborative practice.
β’ Virtual-first, entirely virtual telehealth care platform.
β’ 1099 independent contractor position.
