Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and young adults via telehealth.

• Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations and formulate diagnostic assessments.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.

• Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications while assessing their effectiveness, safety, and clinical progress.

• Offer brief supportive interventions and psychoeducation in conjunction with medication management.

• Work closely with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators through regular case consultations.

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• Inform patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment alternatives, and anticipated outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active, unrestricted PMHNP license in Michigan.

• Preference for candidates with multi-state or compact licensure.

• PMHNP-BC board certification is required.

• Active DEA license is necessary.

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program is essential.

• Experience with—or a strong interest in—working with children, adolescents, and families is preferred.

• Ability to work independently in a telehealth setting is important.

• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and genuine empathy are required.

• Availability in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends is mandatory.
