Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - 1099

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments utilizing evidence-based evaluation tools.

• Identify and treat mental health disorders, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, OCD, ADHD, and personality disorders.

• Prescribe, oversee, and monitor psychiatric medications.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, monitor side effects, and ensure patient adherence.

• Create, execute, and modify personalized treatment plans.

• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary behavioral health team.

• Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare professionals.

• Refer patients to additional services as clinically appropriate.

• Educate patients about their diagnoses, treatment options, and prescribed medications.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation.

• Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in quality improvement efforts and support ongoing clinical excellence in a virtual care setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in relevant states.

• Preference for multistate licensure, primarily focused on Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

• At least two (2) years of experience as a practicing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

• Experience in treating patients aged 13 and above.

• Strong clinical understanding of psychiatric conditions and evidence-based treatment methods.

• Proven expertise in managing psychiatric medications.

• Exceptional clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport in a virtual care environment.

• Dedication to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered care.

• Familiarity with Athena One EHR and remote clinical workflows.

• Active licensure, DEA registration, and prescribing authority in all states where patients are served.

• Providers in Virginia requiring physician collaboration must secure and maintain a collaborating physician at their own expense.

• Adherence to relevant state and federal regulations.
