Psychiatric Mental Health NP, Florida License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-focused psychiatric care as a member of an interdisciplinary care team that includes MDs, CNMs, and LCSWs.

• Conduct thorough biopsychosocial evaluations to ascertain treatment and care requirements.

• Prescribe psychotropic and other medications in accordance with diagnoses, conditions, accepted protocols, and regulatory guidelines.

• Review current medications and decide which orders to maintain, adjust, or discontinue.

• Assess health status, treatment efficacy, safety concerns, and patient responses to care.

• Examine medical records, laboratory results, previous medications, medical and family histories, and past hospitalizations.

• Refer patients to psychotherapy services and work collaboratively with other providers.

• Offer patient education and resources related to diagnoses and medications.

• Complete detailed clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited nursing program.

• Unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.

• Prescriptive authority and DEA license are mandatory.

• Extensive clinical experience is required.

• Experience in women's health and perinatal care is preferred.

• Previous experience in an interdisciplinary care team is preferred.

• Exceptional collaborative and interpersonal skills are essential.
