This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate new patients seeking telemedicine services for opioid use disorder.
• Assess the suitability for enrollment in the care program.
• Ensure the continuity of OUD treatment from the initial induction phase through ongoing management.
• Provide evaluation and treatment for a caseload of up to 275 adults dealing with Opioid Use Disorder.
• Diagnose Opioid Use Disorder as well as concurrent mental health issues.
• Initiate buprenorphine-naloxone therapy and oversee the induction and stabilization process with diligent follow-up.
• Address co-occurring mental health issues directly or via referrals and coordinated care.
• Employ motivational interviewing and engagement methods to enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to synchronize additional services.
• Engage in clinical team meetings, case discussions, quality enhancement, and practice improvement initiatives.
• Acquire knowledge of practice policies, procedures, and local/regional referral networks.
• Utilize the web-based EMR system to oversee patient care.
• Participate in strategic projects and initiatives company-wide.
• Share regional on-call responsibilities, typically once every 2–3 months for a week at a time.
• Report directly to the regional medical director.
• A valid medical practice license and DEA license in your home state.
• Must be eligible and willing to obtain licenses in various states.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Buprenorphine prescribing within family medicine, internal medicine, addiction medicine, or psychiatric practice settings.
• Experience with telehealth is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster effective provider-patient relationships.
• Ability to handle risk/benefit analysis and problem-solving is essential.
• Willingness to share regional on-call responsibilities, inclusive of coverage for a portion of the 8 company-observed holidays.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Experience in Motivational Interviewing is preferred.
• Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification is highly preferred.
• Candidates must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States and reside physically within the US.
• No visa sponsorship is available now or in the future.
