
Provider Capacity & Scheduling Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee provider templates, capacity, and availability across various clinics
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to synchronize provider schedules with contracts, patient needs, and business objectives
• Develop and manage provider scheduling templates and slot capacity within AthenaHealth
• Take charge of provider availability workflows, which include PTO requests, schedule freezes, and panel transitions
• Create initial schedules and ramp-up plans for onboarding new providers
• Keep operational trackers updated for caseloads, psychiatric re-evaluations, and system improvements
• Proactively identify and rectify scheduling errors
• Standardize and automate scheduling documentation to alleviate administrative burdens for managers
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare operations, provider scheduling, or care coordination
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• High proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated ability to manage detailed operational workflows without errors
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
• Direct experience with AthenaHealth EHR is a plus
• Experience in behavioral health or pediatric healthcare operations is desirable
