This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee designated Renewables proposal initiatives from initial intake to final submission.
• Organize proposals, create timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, draft documents, assist with estimates, facilitate reviews, and manage the final production process.
• Analyze RFPs and client requirements to uncover any missing information, compliance necessities, scope clarifications, subcontractor requirements, and RFI items.
• Conduct research, analyze data, write, edit, and structure precise, compelling, client-oriented proposal content.
• Develop proposal development plans, manage assignments and communications, and organize proposal responses effectively.
• Create project cost estimates by gathering inputs, technical assumptions, proposal scope, and stakeholder feedback.
• Assist in technical approaches, execution strategies, scope assumptions, and resource requirements in collaboration with engineering and project delivery teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical Services, Field Services, Project Management, Legal, Safety, Quality, Procurement, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate technical requirements, specifications, drawings, and client standards to identify risks, assumptions, exclusions, and execution considerations.
• Lead kickoff, progress, Pink/Green, Red, and Gold proposal reviews.
• Establish and maintain Teams folders, group chats, Loop components, RFI logs, review trackers, and scheduling reminders.
• Oversee comments, revisions, approvals, signatures, final PDF production, packaging, electronic submission, and delivery processes.
• Assist with proposal closeout, identification of reusable content, content updates, and lessons learned.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of proposal workflows, tools, templates, content libraries, databases, and documentation.
• Manage or facilitate subcontractor proposal components as necessary.
• Conduct internal opportunity-specific meetings and engage in the development of new processes, efficiency tools, and databases.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, structural, mechanical, or civil), technology, renewable energy, or a related field; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• 2–6 years of experience in proposal development, project management, technical writing, estimating support, engineering support, or similar roles in Power, Renewables, infrastructure, or consulting settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, priorities, documents, and stakeholder inputs.
• Capability to work effectively across diverse teams and influence others without direct authority.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent pursuits in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Willingness to adopt evolving technology and AI tools.
• Must possess permanent authorization to work in Canada.
• Preferred: Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Preferred familiarity with utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, transmission, distribution, interconnection studies, or related renewable energy infrastructure.
• Preferred experience in supporting proposals within renewable energy, power delivery, engineering consulting, utility, EPC, or infrastructure markets.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, project scopes, and construction or consulting deliverables.
• Familiarity with Shipley color review processes or similar methodologies.
• Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Loop, Templafy, proposal databases, or related content management tools.
• Experience in supporting scope and fee proposals, qualifications-based proposals, cost estimates, resumes, org charts, compliance matrices, or client-specific proposal packages.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to establish effective working relationships.
• Strong business acumen in project management, proposals, and consulting engineering.
