Property Field Adjuster – Farm & Ranch

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and verify loss details for intricate homeowner claims.

• Assess coverage and damages, adjusting and negotiating claims within established authority limits.

• Develop detailed damage estimates for complex first-party homeowner claims.

• Act as a peer mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.

• Support a specific territory through both on-site inspections and virtual claims management.

• Investigate and oversee moderate to complex residential property, farm, and ranch claims.

• Foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Interpret and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.

• Negotiate settlements, execute settlement payments, and document all claim-related activities.

• Understand various company policy types and aid in both formal and informal training sessions.

• Suggest enhancements to existing processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must live in or around Fort Morgan or Sterling, CO; McPherson or Salina, KS; Lincoln, NE; Bemidji or Moorhead, MN; or Cheyenne or Casper, WY.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• National General does not provide sponsorship for work visas.

• Strong skills in estimating are required.

• Proficiency in Xactimate is necessary.

• Capability to manage difficult situations while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

• Experience with agricultural, farm, and ranch claims is highly desirable.

• Relevant active licenses may include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or an applicable Appraiser License.

• A dedicated workspace free from distractions is essential when working from home.

• Suitable desk and seating arrangements are required.

• Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is necessary.
