Property & Casualty Data Analytics Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee comprehensive analytics initiatives within P&C underwriting, claims, distribution, and client experience.

• Create sophisticated statistical models, segmentation analyses, and predictive frameworks.

• Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics for accountability and operational enhancements.

• Detect data discrepancies and quality challenges, collaborating with data engineering to enhance data integrity.

• Transform findings into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Design and sustain scalable data models and pipelines in collaboration with data engineering teams.

• Develop and manage executive-level dashboards and self-service reporting tools utilizing BI platforms such as Power BI and Looker.

• Write intricate SQL queries and employ Python/R for statistical analyses, automation, and exploratory investigations.

• Document data definitions, methodologies, and analytical frameworks.

• Assess and implement analytics tools and technologies.

• Collaborate with leaders in Sales, P&C Underwriting, Operations, and Finance.

• Lead requirements-gathering sessions and oversee timelines, scope, and deliverables.

• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Act as a subject matter expert in data governance, definitions, and analytical best practices.

• Work together with IT and data engineering on infrastructure priorities and roadmap requirements.

• Offer code reviews, technical guidance, and mentorship to junior and mid-level analysts.

• Drive project planning and workload prioritization.

• Promote data-driven decision-making and analytical rigor.

• Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Over 6 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role.

• At least 2 years of experience in a lead or senior position.

• Advanced expertise in SQL.

• Strong proficiency in Python or R for analytical workflows.

• Expertise in BI and visualization tools like Power BI or Looker.

• Demonstrated ability to construct and convey complex analyses to both executive and non-technical audiences.

• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.

• Exceptional project management and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• High emotional intelligence with a proven ability to influence without formal authority.

• Minimal travel; up to 10% travel may be necessary.

• Standard business hours, Monday to Friday; occasional flexibility required to meet project deadlines or collaborate across time zones.
