
Property Adjuster – Field Estimating

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Travel to clients' residences to perform on-site property assessments.
• Examine coverage details and assess damages.
• Create estimates and resolve claims in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage virtual claims nationwide.
• Utilize tools such as Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, estimating software, job aids, and settlement platforms.
• Specialize in water loss claims.
• Deliver compassionate, clear, and outstanding service to policyholders.
• Conduct independent investigations of property claims and interpret policies to evaluate coverage.
• Engage with customers through phone, email, and video conferencing.
• Allow customers to choose their preferred communication method and keep them informed about claim status.
• Assess and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party insurers, and claimants.
• Employ legal and business-standard approaches for challenging and intricate scenarios.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to address claim-related challenges.
• Implement policies in accordance with policy agreements.
• Maintain clear, timely, and precise documentation of claims in the claims system.
• Participate in approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, TX.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an outside adjuster is strongly preferred.
• Experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired.
• Proficient in Xactimate and other relevant estimating software.
• Strong critical thinking and technical abilities to accurately assess damages and expedite claims settlements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to travel to clients' homes and manage virtual claims nationwide.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized.
• Residency in the North Augusta, SC area is required.
• Ability and willingness to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with a pitch of up to 6/12 on one- to two-story buildings.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel.
• Dedicated home workspace that is free from distractions.
• Suitable desk and seating arrangements for remote work.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 50 MB and upload speed of 5 MB.
• Candidates must undergo a background check.
• An adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire, if applicable.
• Allstate typically does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position.
