This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist in construction due diligence by conducting constructability reviews, risk assessments, project scheduling, budget evaluations, and capex estimate reviews, as well as EPC RFP analyses.
• Identify and resolve construction and execution-related challenges early in the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the RFI and RFP processes for assigned projects as they transition from development to execution.
• Officially hand over executed contracts to the Director of Project Execution.
• Work in conjunction with Development and Execution teams on constructability evaluations, site inspections, permitting, JHA collaborations, and projects in the early to mid-stages.
• Direct the creation of detailed baseline project schedules that include suitable team durations and contingencies.
• Contribute to and review project schedules for pipeline projects requiring investment approval.
• Assist in developing preliminary engineering specifications for construction and supply contracts.
• Formulate project management and construction strategies, execution plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Manage the scoping, identification, evaluation, selection, and final approval of EPC RFPs.
• Lead the execution of EPC contracts, including early-stage engineering and design in collaboration with legal, contract management, and execution teams.
• Engage in the identification and selection of suppliers.
• Coordinate project budgeting and cash expenditure forecasts with Cost Estimating & Controls.
• Integrate and align stakeholders on projects and facilitate weekly project status meetings.
• Build relationships with contractors and suppliers to enhance execution strategies.
• Uphold and embody the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management; or an equivalent amount of experience in construction, project planning, and execution of large utility-scale power plant projects.
• 3-8 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, industrial construction, or capital project management.
• Advanced understanding of construction management and methodologies for large projects, including contract management, procurement, supply chain management, environmental and building permitting, and transportation logistics.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining critical path method schedules.
• Extensive experience with EPC and BOP construction contracting, encompassing the RFP process, bid evaluations, and negotiation of contract terms; experience in renewable energy contracting is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project.
• Basic understanding of construction labor relations across the United States.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines, with a preference for collaborating with diverse teams.
