Project Manager, Solutions Insight Lab

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of primary Solutions Insights Lab client engagements from initiation to final delivery.

• Create and sustain work plans, timelines, milestones, and project tracking systems.

• Organize interviews, research, analysis, writing, partner reviews, engagements, and final outputs.

• Monitor scope and deliverables, adjust plans as necessary, and escalate risks, delays, and resource limitations.

• Manage photo and video assets through processes including translation, transcription, editing, and production.

• Act as the primary operational contact for designated clients and partners.

• Facilitate communication, meetings, decision-making, reviews, approvals, and follow-ups.

• Manage participant mapping for interviews, outreach, scheduling, interviewer assignments, transcription, review, and analysis.

• Develop and update tracking tools for interview outreach, scheduling, completion, transcription, and analysis.

• Assist in the creation and enhancement of interview guides and research tools.

• Coordinate the efforts of researchers, interviewers, consultants, writers, and other contributors to the project.

• Lead project check-ins, action tracking, and necessary follow-ups.

• Recognize workload and resource challenges and communicate them to the Deputy Director.

• Devise engagement strategies for practitioners, funders, donors, policymakers, and decision-makers.

• Organize engagement activities that align with project goals and audience requirements.

• Introduce innovative engagement strategies and formats.

• Manage multimedia content, media purchases, external vendors, collateral, and promotional materials.

• Systematically organize and maintain project folders in the Lab Drive.

• Produce project updates and coordinate reports and deliverables for partners.

• Document lessons learned and project closure information for broader SIL systems and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in Project Management.

• Proven track record in managing intricate, multi-phase projects from inception to conclusion.

• Substantial experience utilizing Asana as the primary project management and workflow tool.

• Strong capability to handle multiple workstreams, personnel, timelines, and dependencies within complex projects.

• Proficient at anticipating challenges, making sound daily decisions, adapting plans, and appropriately escalating issues.

• Exceptional skill in building, maintaining, and overseeing comprehensive research/content pipelines.

• Competence in creating internal process playbooks, documentation, and tracking systems.

• High proficiency with Asana, Google Workspace, and collaborative tools.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating directly with clients or partners.

• Background in managing projects within nonprofit, social entrepreneurship, international development, or similarly dynamic environments.

• Professional experience in international development, social impact, or social entrepreneurship.

• Understanding of organizations, funders, practitioners, and stakeholders in these domains.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to convert complex project information into clear updates, reports, and documentation.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform.

• Nice-to-have: Background in media buying, audience targeting, or digital promotion.

• Nice-to-have: Experience in producing or coordinating convenings, workshops, or events.

• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with journalism, media, or solutions-oriented storytelling.

• Nice-to-have: Proficiency in a language other than English.
