Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee commercial real estate projects from inception to completion.

• Manage the planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases for retail fit-outs and relocations.

• Collaborate with clients to develop scopes of work, resource needs, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, quality control measures, and risk assessments.

• Identify project delivery resources from pre-approved lists or through the project qualification process.

• Conduct requests for proposals, perform bid evaluations, and provide resource recommendations to clients.

• Enforce project documentation governance in line with both company and client standards.

• Ensure the integrity of project data along with timely, precise, and coordinated documentation.

• Create action plans to achieve objectives, adhere to budgets, and meet schedules.

• Monitor project progress and report on status and any variances.

• Recognize project risks and formulate mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Implement measures to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Utilize project management principles and techniques for complex tasks and creative solutions.

• Provide mentorship and share expertise with others.

• Set a standard by embodying CBRE RISE values.

• Foster consensus and persuade others to achieve agreement.

• Travel approximately 25% of the time to client locations nationwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, accompanied by 5–8 years of relevant experience.

• A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in retail commercial real estate construction project management is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is necessary.

• Familiarity with Smartsheet is an advantage.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices is essential.

• Capability to interpret architectural drawings is required.

• Possess strong interpersonal skills with a keen inquisitive mindset.

• LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designations are preferred.
