Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services to the retail client account to assist in achieving strategic business goals.

• Oversee retail fit-outs and relocations from the initial stages through to completion.

• Manage the planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases for commercial real estate projects.

• Directly engage with clients to prepare the scope of work, resource needs, cost estimates and budgets, schedules, quality assurance, and risk identification.

• Determine project delivery resources from pre-approved lists or through the project qualification process.

• Conduct requests for proposals, complete bid assessments, and recommend resources to clients.

• Enforce project documentation governance in line with company and client standards.

• Ensure the integrity of project data and the accuracy, timeliness, and coordination of documentation.

• Develop action plans to meet objectives, budgets, and timelines.

• Monitor project progress and communicate status and variances.

• Identify potential project risks and create risk mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Execute plans to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Utilize standard principles and techniques to tackle complex assignments and deliver innovative solutions.

• Mentor colleagues and share expertise.

• Exemplify and uphold CBRE RISE values through leadership.

• Foster consensus and persuade others to achieve agreement.

• Influence customer, operational, project, or service activities within both your team and related teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must currently have authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 5-8 years of relevant experience.

• In the absence of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be taken into account.

• Experience in retail commercial real estate construction project management is required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Experience with Smartsheet is advantageous.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices is necessary.

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings is essential.

• LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM certifications are preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills paired with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
