Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services to a retail client account aimed at achieving strategic business goals.

• Oversee retail fit-outs and relocations from the initial phase to completion.

• Manage planning, design, construction, occupancy, and project closeout for commercial real estate initiatives.

• Collaborate directly with clients to develop scope of work, identify delivery resource needs, prepare cost estimates, budgets, schedules, and ensure quality control while identifying risks.

• Determine project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process.

• Conduct requests for proposals, perform bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.

• Enforce project documentation governance in accordance with company and client standards.

• Guarantee project data integrity and ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and well-coordinated.

• Develop action plans to achieve objectives, adhere to budget, and meet schedules.

• Monitor project progress and provide status updates and variance reports.

• Recognize potential project threats and create risk mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Execute plans to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Utilize standard principles and techniques for complex assignments and deliver innovative solutions.

• Mentor colleagues and share expertise.

• Exemplify leadership in alignment with CBRE RISE values.

• Foster consensus and persuade others to achieve agreement.

• Influence customer, operational, project, and service activities across related teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must currently be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, accompanied by 5-8 years of relevant experience.

• In the absence of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be taken into account.

• LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designations are preferred.

• Experience in retail commercial real estate construction project management is essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.

• Familiarity with Smartsheet is advantageous.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices is necessary.

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings is essential.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive inquisitive mindset are required.
