Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services to a retail client account to meet strategic business goals.

• Oversee retail fit-out and relocation projects from start to finish.

• Manage planning, design, construction, occupancy, and project closeout for commercial real estate initiatives.

• Collaborate directly with clients to develop scope, resources, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, quality controls, and risk identification.

• Determine project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through qualification processes.

• Conduct requests for proposals, assess bids, and make recommendations to clients.

• Enforce project documentation governance that aligns with both company and client standards.

• Ensure the integrity of project data and maintain accurate, timely, and coordinated documentation.

• Create action plans to achieve objectives, budgets, and timelines.

• Monitor project progress and communicate status and variances.

• Recognize project risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.

• Implement measures to minimize or eliminate project risks.

• Utilize standard principles and techniques for complex assignments and innovative solutions.

• Provide mentorship and share expertise with others.

• Exemplify leadership according to CBRE RISE values.

• Build consensus and persuade others to achieve agreement.

• Influence customer, operational, project, and service activities across related teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 5–8 years of relevant experience.

• A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in retail commercial real estate construction project management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Experience with Smartsheet is an advantage.

• General understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices.

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a highly inquisitive mindset.

• Preferred designations include LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM.
