This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design teams to provide facility solutions for clients in the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Manage the design phase of intricate facility projects from initial concept to construction documentation.
• Ensure alignment with client objectives, regulatory standards, and CRB quality benchmarks.
• Act as the main design contact for clients and manage their expectations throughout the project duration.
• Coordinate efforts among internal architects, engineers, consultants, and external partners.
• Deliver cohesive solutions on time and within budget constraints.
• Define project scope and establish design budgets.
• Track project progress while adhering to financial and operational targets.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, GMP, FDA, and EU Annex 1 requirements.
• Advocate for innovative technologies and sustainable design practices, including CFD modeling, energy-efficient systems, and modular construction strategies.
• Identify design-related risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, preventing delays or budget overruns.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in design project management, ideally within pharmaceutical or biotech facility design.
• Strong grasp of GMP, cleanroom design, and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and organization.
• Proficient in design software (Bluebeam, Navisworks) and project management tools.
• PMP or a similar project management certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with progressive contracting and integrated project delivery (IPD) methodologies.
