Project Manager – Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Oversee interdisciplinary design teams to provide facility solutions for clients in life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.

• Handle intricate facility projects from initial concept to construction documentation.

• Act as the main design contact for clients, managing expectations throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Lead and coordinate efforts among architects, engineers, consultants, and external partners.

• Outline project scope, establish design budgets, and track progress.

• Ensure all designs comply with GMP, FDA, EU Annex 1, relevant codes, standards, and industry regulations.

• Advocate for innovative technologies and sustainable design approaches, including CFD modeling, energy-efficient systems, and modular construction.

• Recognize design risks and apply mitigation strategies to prevent delays or budget overruns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in design project management, ideally within pharmaceutical or biotech facility design.

• Strong knowledge of GMP, cleanroom design, and the regulatory landscape.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects at once.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.

• Proficiency in design tools (Bluebeam, Navisworks) and project management software.

• PMP or a comparable project management certification.

• Familiarity with progressive contracting and integrated project delivery (IPD) methodologies.
