Project Manager, Consultant

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee designated projects and professional service engagements from start to finish.

β€’ Manage the planning, engineering, assessments, audits, procurement, construction, commissioning, reporting, stakeholder management, and final deliverable acceptance.

β€’ Supervise project scope, baseline schedules, cost forecasts, change impacts, budget performance, and delivery commitments.

β€’ Maintain project plans that are up-to-date, realistic, and in accordance with Enabled Energy standards.

β€’ Act as the main point of contact for project communications with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership.

β€’ Deliver clear updates regarding status, risks, blockers, decisions, and forthcoming actions.

β€’ Identify and address project risks, scope gaps, procurement delays, resource limitations, and stakeholder conflicts.

β€’ Lead the mitigation, escalation, resolution, and documentation processes.

β€’ Coordinate subcontractor onboarding, scope definition, material planning, purchase orders, vendor management, and delivery tracking.

β€’ Assist in standardized project reporting, integrated scheduling, milestone tracking, WBS structure, forecasting, and portfolio-level visibility.

β€’ Drive the readiness for commissioning, completion of punch lists, turnover packages, client acceptance, final billing support, lessons learned, and comprehensive project closeout documentation.

β€’ Collaborate closely with Construction Managers, Engineering, Project Controls, Procurement, Finance, subcontractors, vendors, and client teams to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, without sponsorship.

β€’ A valid PMP certification is mandatory.

β€’ At least 5+ years of project management experience in construction, energy, data center, mission-critical environments, mechanical, electrical, controls, engineering consulting, or related technical fields.

β€’ Strong accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, risk, change management, communication, and closeout.

β€’ Exceptional communication, organizational, decision-making, and stakeholder management abilities.

β€’ Capability to manage multiple projects across various regions while ensuring clear accountability and follow-through.

β€’ Dedication to safety, quality, documentation, process compliance, and continuous improvement.

β€’ Proven track record in managing subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional internal teams.

β€’ Solid understanding of PMI project management principles and the construction project lifecycle execution.

β€’ Advanced skills in MS Office and familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar project tracking tools.

β€’ Willingness to travel across the United States and Canada as required by project needs.

β€’ Strong professional judgment, ownership mindset, and the ability to escalate issues appropriately.

β€’ A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related technical field is preferred.

β€’ Experience in data centers, mission critical, telecom, energy efficiency, HVAC, controls, BAS, commissioning, technical consulting or retrofit construction is preferred.

β€’ Experience with multi-site programs or national/regional project portfolios is preferred.

β€’ Experience working within a PMO or structured project governance environment is preferred.

β€’ Experience with project controls, forecasting, integrated scheduling, WBS development, and portfolio reporting is preferred.

β€’ Data Center specific certifications such as DCEP, CDCP, or similar are a plus.
