Project Manager – Construction, Commissioning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage various phases of field operations for projects.

• Ensure that site activities are conducted safely, meet required quality standards, are completed on schedule, and adhere to budget constraints.

• Collaborate with the Project Director and Construction Leader to define site work strategies.

• Develop the financial and physical tracking framework for site work progress and update it on a monthly basis.

• Conduct weekly updates on site schedules comparing planned versus actual progress with the site manager and project planner.

• Facilitate communication across project teams to enhance planning and execution.

• Engage in customer meetings to discuss project status and requirements.

• Identify changes in scope management for site works, assessing their quantity and quality impacts.

• Monitor project site documentation to ensure timely delivery to the customer, encompassing methods, site quality plans, and commissioning reports.

• Actively participate in risk mitigation and opportunity evaluation.

• Create requests for quotations and purchase requests for subcontracting site works.

• Oversee specific vendor packages on-site, including piping, painting, and machining.

• Develop comprehensive mobilization plans using framework documentation and checklists, ensuring resource loading requirements are fulfilled.

• Lead the mobilization tollgate review, representing Construction & Commissioning during project reviews.

• Anticipate mobilization activities on-site, including tooling, safety equipment, warehousing, office infrastructure, worker accommodations, and training.

• Prepare and direct site demobilization upon project completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college or bachelor’s degree in management or engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), or equivalent proven field experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within Construction or Commissioning.

• Possession of Project Management Certification.

• Familiarity with technical concepts, including hydropower technology, turbines, generators, and mechanical and electrical balance of plant systems.

• Experience in field management.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

• Willingness to travel within the USA at least 30% of the time.

• Strong emphasis on EHS culture.

• Commitment to quality management and the continuous enhancement of quality culture.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
