Project Manager – Construction & Commissioning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the various stages of field operations for projects.

• Ensure that site activities are completed safely, adhere to necessary quality standards, are finished on schedule, and remain within budget.

• Collaborate with the Project Director and Construction Leader in defining site work strategies.

• Construct and update monthly financial and physical progress reports for site operations.

• Conduct weekly updates on the site schedule, comparing planned versus actual progress alongside the site manager and project planner.

• Facilitate communication across project teams to aid in effective planning and execution.

• Engage in meetings with customers.

• Identify and manage scope changes related to site works, monitoring impacts on quantity and quality.

• Maintain project site documentation for prompt delivery to the customer, including methods, site quality plans, and commissioning reports.

• Participate in risk mitigation and opportunity analysis.

• Prepare requests for quotes and purchase requests for subcontracting site work.

• Oversee specific vendor packages at the site, including piping, painting, and machining.

• Develop detailed plans for mobilization and ensure resource-loading requirements are fulfilled.

• Lead the mobilization tollgate review and represent Construction & Commissioning during project assessments.

• Anticipate needs for site mobilization, encompassing tooling, safety equipment, warehousing, office infrastructure, worker accommodations, and site training.

• Plan and execute site demobilization upon project completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college or bachelor’s degree in management or engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), or equivalent substantial field experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within Construction or Commissioning.

• Familiarity with technical concepts related to hydropower technology, turbines, generators, and mechanical and electrical balance of plant systems.

• Experience in field management.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong leadership abilities.

• Willingness to travel within the USA at least 30% of the time.

• A robust and demonstrated culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).

• A strong focus on quality management and ongoing enhancement of quality culture.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if required.
