
Project Manager – Civil Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Supervise and manage civil construction projects from inception to completion.
• Direct and oversee project superintendents and field teams.
• Ensure projects are executed according to specifications, within deadlines, and budgetary constraints.
• Assess manpower, equipment, and material needs while adhering to budget limits.
• Oversee subcontractors to guarantee quality and compliance with specifications.
• Monitor progress and generate comprehensive reports.
• Plan and organize projects for optimal efficiency and quality.
• Liaise with clients regarding budget, scheduling, and quantity tracking.
• Modify plans and budgets in response to unforeseen challenges or issues.
• Assist superintendents with project requirements, staffing, and daily site operations.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, guidelines, and construction codes at job sites.
• Manage contract modifications, additions, and compliance among all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients, supervisory personnel, subcontractors, and engineers to address challenges.
• Handle responses to delays, adverse weather, emergencies, and other site-related issues.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other involved parties.
• Maintain accurate tracking of projects and budgets.
• Issue and manage One Calls.
• Submit and monitor project submittals and RFIs.
• Collaborate with the Project Engineer on specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and quantity tracking.
• Oversee multiple crews and projects as required.
• Participate in crew scheduling and assess manpower requirements.
• Provide updates on work-in-progress and strategic forecasting support to the Director of Project Management.
• Prepare and validate accurate monthly billing with the Director of Project Management.
• Utilize knowledge of Topcon/Trimble GPS in project tasks.
• 3-5 years of experience in civil construction.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with Procore is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Capacity to remain adaptable and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to make informed and rapid decisions, performing well under pressure and during unexpected situations or delays.
• Capability to effectively multitask while analyzing and resolving issues.
• Solid understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Professional demeanor in all situations.
• Team-oriented with leadership skills.
• Comfortable delegating tasks.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement.
• Must be able to navigate and inspect all areas of the job site in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Willingness and capacity to travel 100% within the central United States.
• Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, adverse weather, and other job site issues.
