This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary lead for stand-up and transition-in processes, responsible for ensuring complete clinic operational readiness within specified timelines.
• Lead the creation and implementation of transition-in and mobilization strategies, which include detailed work breakdown structures, integrated master schedules, and readiness milestones.
• Organize clinic activation tasks, such as onboarding staff, credentialing and privileging, ensuring space readiness, procuring equipment, and establishing IT connectivity.
• Offer expertise in primary care and Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) operations, guaranteeing effective application of PACT staffing models, patient flow, and care team workflows during the go-live phase.
• Direct cross-functional teams involved in stand-up activities across clinical, HR, recruiting, facilities, logistics, IT, and compliance sectors.
• Ensure the clinic meets readiness standards for VA inspections, Joint Commission surveys, and regulatory evaluations, addressing pre-opening requirements and resolving deficiencies.
• Serve as the main point of contact with VA leadership throughout the transition-in phase, conducting readiness reviews and early operations, while providing status updates and resolving issues.
• Manage the stabilization of early-phase operations, which includes ramping up patient volume, adjusting staffing levels, and monitoring performance.
• Implement governance and control measures, including tracking risks and issues, maintaining readiness checklists, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and creating performance dashboards.
• Identify and proactively address risks related to stand-up processes, such as staffing delays, facility limitations, equipment readiness issues, and gaps in regulatory compliance.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is preferred.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in healthcare operations and program or project management is necessary.
• Proven experience in leading clinic stand-up, transition-in, or mobilization efforts in ambulatory care, primary care, or similar healthcare environments is essential.
• A demonstrated ability to manage the operational delivery of healthcare facilities from award to go-live within tight timelines is required.
• Experience with staffing onboarding, credentialing, privileging, and workforce ramp-up in regulated healthcare environments is necessary.
• Strong knowledge of VA healthcare operations, primary care delivery models, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission) is crucial.
• Experience managing healthcare operations or contracts worth multi-million dollars is needed.
• Exceptional executive-level communication skills, with experience briefing government stakeholders during transition and readiness phases, are required.
• Prior experience as a Program Manager, Deputy PM, or Operations Lead for VA CBOC or similar federal healthcare clinic stand-ups is preferred.
• Experience in supporting multiple simultaneous clinic activations or managing geographically dispersed sites is preferred.
• A background in medical logistics, facility operations, emergency management, or military healthcare systems is preferred.
• Experience with Lean, Agile, or structured transition management applied to healthcare mobilization is preferred.
