This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Initiate the setup of projects following the award and handoff of estimates, ensuring that the project team, budget, and necessary documentation are prepared for the kickoff.
β’ Create and uphold project execution plans, identify critical risk paths, and establish milestone schedules.
β’ Prepare, oversee, and revise construction schedules along with job cost estimates.
β’ Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities to achieve completion milestones.
β’ Serve as the primary contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
β’ Maintain project reporting for clients and internal stakeholders.
β’ Oversee change processes that impact project costs, schedules, or scopes.
β’ Ensure that project documentation is kept up to date, including execution plans, risk registers, RFI logs, change order logs, schedules, health and safety plans, and quality plans.
β’ Manage expenses, approved budgets, and projections for resource hours.
β’ Ensure the prompt processing of accounts receivable and payable invoices.
β’ Lead kickoff meetings, project updates, change orders, recovery plans, and lessons-learned sessions.
β’ Utilize approved company systems.
β’ Stay informed about quality, acceptance, safety, and environmental requirements.
β’ Coordinate the closeout of projects and conduct post-mortems to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned.
β’ Provide leadership in project execution and deliver routine as well as ad hoc progress reports to senior management.
β’ An undergraduate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
β’ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent qualification is considered an asset.
β’ A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing medium to large full cycle EPC or construction projects is required.
β’ Proven experience and knowledge in utility construction (such as electrical transmission/distribution, telecommunications) or similar fields is advantageous.
β’ Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proven track record of managing a diverse team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
β’ Strong understanding of reviewing and negotiating contracts for construction projects, coupled with robust technical, business, financial, and legal insight.
β’ A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and adaptability to change.
β’ Strong skills in time management and documentation.
β’ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel/Project applications, with prior experience using project management software (e.g., Primavera and Microsoft Project), and the capability to learn new software applications.
β’ A valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
