Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership in project management for large and intricate electric substation projects.

• Guide projects through both internal and external processes while navigating the project life cycle.

• Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget.

• Make critical decisions regarding the project.

• Manage a collaborative team to ensure all functional disciplines adhere to the planned scope, schedule, and budget.

• Direct the overall project through coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation.

• Facilitate project meetings.

• Create, update, and oversee the project plan throughout its life cycle.

• Coordinate communications and provide status updates to stakeholders.

• Evaluate project risks and devise mitigation strategies.

• Handle project requests for information and action items.

• Ensure the availability of adequate project resources.

• Establish and nurture effective working relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required; alternatively, 4 years of experience in electric utility substation project management may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• At least 3 years of project management experience in electric utility substations is mandatory.

• PMP Certification is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to stay organized, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines through effective prioritization.

• Skill in preparing clear and concise status updates and reports.

• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

• Experience in problem analysis, identifying alternative solutions, evaluating project impacts, and implementing recommendations to achieve project scope, schedule, and budget goals.

• Exceptional leadership, verbal and written communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
