This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the daily lien resolution operations across various lien types, including Medicare, Medicaid, Military, and private lienholders.
• Create, sustain, and enhance workflows for the prompt submission, review, negotiation, and finalization of liens.
• Keep track of project milestones and pinpoint obstacles impacting lien resolution or client distributions.
• Coordinate the efforts of attorneys, paralegals, contractors, and external vendors involved in lien management and settlement distribution.
• Develop and uphold standard operating procedures for lien tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Manage complex datasets utilizing advanced Excel functions, formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and reporting tools.
• Monitor lien metrics, such as submissions, lien requests, conditional payments, negotiations, approvals, and final demand letters.
• Evaluate operational data for trends, workload forecasts, staffing requirements, and opportunities for process enhancements.
• Generate dashboards and reports to provide leadership with updates on status and performance metrics.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to guarantee data integrity and precision.
• Supervise lien tracking and reconciliation throughout the settlement lifecycle.
• Track lienholder responses and organize follow-up efforts.
• Collaborate with attorneys and lien resolution experts on audits, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
• Confirm lien amounts and distribution calculations.
• Coordinate the final lien reconciliation prior to client distributions.
• Prepare and maintain monthly distribution worksheets and relevant supporting reports.
• Validate settlement awards, attorney fees, expenses, lien amounts, and net client recovery calculations.
• Ensure liens are finalized and documented before approving client distributions.
• Collaborate with accounting, legal, and operations teams to guarantee timely and accurate distributions.
• Suggest and implement improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Develop automated reporting solutions and Excel-based tools.
• Create staffing forecasts and workload analyses based on lien volume and response trends.
• Assist leadership with resource planning and operational decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience in project management, operations management, legal operations, settlement administration, lien resolution, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience managing extensive datasets with a high level of accuracy.
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Familiarity with lien resolution for Medicare, Medicaid, Military, or private entities.
• Background in mass tort, personal injury, settlement administration, or legal operations.
• Understanding of settlement distribution processes and reconciliation requirements.
• Willingness to work outside of standard business hours as necessary.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 15 pounds.
• Willingness to travel periodically to other firm offices and locations as needed.
