Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee strategic projects across the company from inception to completion, including initiatives related to cloud migration and infrastructure.

• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams in R&D, Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering.

• Act as the Scrum manager for development teams, guiding sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.

• Manage production release cycles, which encompass production ticket identification, tracking, prioritization, and deployment coordination.

• Create and implement communication strategies for significant projects, including customer communication and stakeholder updates.

• Ensure project documentation, timelines, roadmaps, and status reports are maintained for executive leadership and stakeholders.

• Monitor project metrics, oversee budgets and resources, identify risks, and execute mitigation strategies.

• Work alongside team leads and technical stakeholders to address obstacles and maintain project momentum.

• Report directly to the VP of Research and Development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 3 years of project management experience within a software development or technology context.

• Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders within intricate project environments.

• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies with experience in facilitating sprint ceremonies.

• Proficiency in project management tools (required).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously, juggle competing priorities, and adjust to evolving business requirements.

• Strategic planning and execution of projects.

• Management and communication with stakeholders.

• Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies.

• Expertise in budget and resource management.

• Scrum Master certification or equivalent experience.

• Facilitation and coaching of Agile ceremonies.

• Management of backlog and sprint planning.

• Familiarity with project tracking and reporting tools.

• Experience with Confluence or similar documentation platforms.

• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and technical concepts.

• Ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.

• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.

• Availability to travel occasionally for company meetings and events.
