Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee strategic projects across the company from inception to completion, which includes cloud migration and infrastructure initiatives.

• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams in R&D, Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering.

• Act as Scrum manager for development teams, guiding sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Manage production release cycles, encompassing production ticket identification, tracking, prioritization, and deployment coordination.

• Create and implement communication strategies for significant projects, including approaches for customer outreach and stakeholder updates.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, timelines, roadmaps, and status reports for executive leaders and stakeholders.

• Monitor project metrics, oversee budgets and resources, identify risks, and execute mitigation strategies.

• Partner with team leads and technical stakeholders to address obstacles and ensure project progress.

• Report directly to the VP of Research and Development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 3 years of project management experience within a software development or technology setting.

• Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders in complex project landscapes.

• Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies with practical experience in facilitating sprint ceremonies.

• Familiarity with project management tools is essential; experience with Jira is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to work autonomously, juggle competing priorities, and adapt to evolving business requirements.

• Proficient in strategic project planning and execution.

• Skilled in stakeholder management and effective communication.

• Expertise in risk management and mitigation.

• Competent in budget and resource management.

• Scrum Master certification or equivalent experience.

• Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and providing coaching.

• Knowledge of backlog management and sprint planning.

• Familiarity with project tracking and reporting tools.

• Experience with Confluence or documentation platforms.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and technical concepts.

• Ability to translate technical requirements into layman's terms for non-technical stakeholders.

• Willingness to work extended hours as necessary.

• Availability for occasional travel for company meetings and events.
