This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee contract operations that support the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Health Administration in the implementation of Section 129 of the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act.
• Act as the main contractor liaison for daily performance and coordinate activities across all functional areas of the contract.
• Manage approximately 30 recognition requests on a monthly basis.
• Create and sustain the Monthly Review Work Plan, integrated schedules, workload forecasts, staffing plans, and performance trackers.
• Generate Monthly Status Reports detailing achievements, upcoming tasks, workload, risks, issues, decisions, and corrective measures.
• Assign and supervise recognition requests through the stages of review, clarification, quality assurance, and final recommendations.
• Establish governance processes, escalation pathways, decision logs, action-item tracking, and internal communication protocols.
• Monitor turnaround times, acceptance criteria, and quality standards; implement recovery plans as necessary.
• Identify operational, staffing, quality, and compliance risks while coordinating mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate regular team meetings, reviewer calibration sessions, and leadership briefings.
• Collaborate with VA stakeholders, ensuring a clear distinction between contractor recommendations and Government approval authority.
• Foster continuous improvement through workload analysis, root-cause analysis, lessons learned, and the refinement of SOPs, templates, and checklists.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, project management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of project or program management experience, including oversight of schedules, deliverables, risks, staffing, and client communications.
• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams engaged in high-volume, deadline-driven business operations or case-review work.
• Experience in preparing executive-level status reports, work plans, dashboards, and decision-support materials.
• Capability to organize and prioritize multiple workstreams while ensuring accuracy, traceability, and document control.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to excellent client service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint or similar collaboration tools.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
• Experience in supporting VA, VHA, HAP, or other federal healthcare or benefits programs is preferred.
• Background in managing eligibility, compliance, credentialing, recognition, grants, claims, or other document-intensive review operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with Lean process improvement, workflow automation, performance dashboards, or quality-management methods is preferred.
• Knowledge of Veterans’ health, benefits, caregiver, or community-navigation programs is preferred.
