Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Project Manager for one or more initiatives within the DEAN program

• Oversee daily management of assigned project activities

• Ensure that deliverables are achieved according to scope, timeline, and budget

• Plan, initiate, manage, execute, and conclude assigned projects that support VHA's integrated health care system

• Utilize structured project management methodologies that align with PMI standards and federal contracting requirements

• Provide project-level status reports to the Task Order Project Lead / Program Manager

• Identify and escalate risks and issues while recommending strategies for mitigation

• Create and maintain project schedules, risk and issue logs, action item trackers, and status updates

• Collaborate with internal project teams, VA program offices, and partner contractors

• Align efforts, resolve dependencies, and drive the execution of assigned workstreams within the DEAN transformation initiative

• Monitor metrics of project performance

• Participate in reviews focused on lessons learned

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of project execution processes in accordance with VHA operational standards

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of proven experience managing a large-scale program that includes multiple projects, with comparable lifecycle budget and complexity

• At least 4 years of experience supporting a large corporation, government agency, or health care organization

• BA/BS Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field

• Experience in planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing programs or projects that support an agency's mission

• Capability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust clearance (Tier 2 / MBI)

• Adherence to VA information security, privacy, system access, VA PIV credentialing, and onboarding requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

• Subject to federal contractor employment eligibility verification (E-Verify)

• An active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a comparable quality-equivalent certification is required at the time of hiring

• Familiarity with the standard operations of VHA is preferred

• Ability to effectively engage with organizational leadership is preferred

• Knowledge of the DEAN mission and function is preferred
