Project Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Assist the Project Finance team in assessing project profitability and financial performance.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and operational project teams to gain insights into project economics.

• Monitor forecasts and pinpoint risks to margins along with potential process enhancements.

• Aid in overseeing project cash positions, which include services, PTCs, grants, outstanding invoices, and advances.

• Track the progress of operational projects and ensure precise monthly unit monitoring.

• Evaluate actual performance against budgeted tasks, identifying risks, inefficiencies, and deviations in scope.

• Facilitate revenue tracking and recognize changes in project scope.

• Analyze cost-to-complete forecasts and their effects on project margins with guidance.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and proposals, including cost outputs, proposal mapping, exchange-rate considerations, and unit-based bidding structures.

• Support the development of payment schedules and volume-based discount arrangements.

• Participate in operational project team and monthly Project Management meetings, contributing financial insights.

• Assist with departmental budgets, quarterly revenue projections, backlog reconciliation, and financial audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a similar field of study and experience.

• Relevant experience in finance or accounting.

• Experience in project accounting/analysis is advantageous.

• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical sector or with CROs is preferred.

• Strong command of the English language.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with accounting software packages.

• Experience with Oracle Finance is a plus.

• Understanding of financial modeling techniques.
