Project Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +40 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist the sales team across various territories by preparing precise pricing proposals for laboratory furnishings.

• Provide accurate quotations and scope letters promptly during the proposal, shop, fabrication, and installation phases.

• Generate cost estimates and order processing documents to ensure the accuracy of orders.

• Evaluate post-order modifications, estimate cost variances, and manage change orders.

• Conduct research to secure special pricing and details for custom items from suppliers.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to understand customer project needs and offer recommendations, scopes of work, and submittal packages.

• Discover opportunities for margin enhancement and lead-time reduction through contract pricing, value engineering, and furniture supply chain initiatives.

• Conduct self-assessments of design and take-offs to meet technical and procedural standards.

• Recommend optimal products based on knowledge of the lab furniture market, supplier networks, and SEFA laboratory standards.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Mathematics, or a related field is mandatory.

• At least 1+ years of relevant experience is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

• Familiarity with SAP software, 2020 Worksheet, AutoCAD, Revit, Salesforce, and/or C4C is highly desirable.

• Capability to read specifications, construction documents, and architectural drawings.

• Understanding of the lab furniture market, supplier base, and SEFA laboratory standards.

• Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changes as required.
