Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical resource to assist the project manager in the controlled execution of projects.

• Comprehend and document customer requirements for the chosen solutions.

• Collaborate with Sales, Sales Engineering, and System Engineering teams to deliver both standard and customized solutions.

• Oversee the Engineering, Field Engineering, and Build & Test implementation efforts.

• Provide support during sales and project execution phases, including transition to operational teams.

• Generate technical documentation for projects, including system diagrams, rack elevations, test plans, and test reports.

• Work alongside engineering and sales teams to create best practices, technical papers, and training materials.

• Keep current with Speedcast’s solution offerings.

• Schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage technical activities from the inception of projects to their completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network design and implementation.

• CCNA certification or equivalent industry experience.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the capability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to engage with both external and internal stakeholders.

• Preferred: demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and management.

• Preferred: previous background in project management.

• Preferred: experience in field engineering or engineering implementation.

• Preferred: experience in a customer-facing capacity.

• Preferred: familiarity with Visio or other diagramming software.

• Preferred: knowledge of digital satellite network architectures, mobility services, and VSAT platforms.

• Preferred: understanding of fundamental IP networking, VOIP, and QoS principles.

• Preferred: proficient PC skills, including full MS Office Suite.
