Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Support the Project Manager in creating project plans, schedules, and budgets for engineering initiatives.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project cohesiveness.

• Examine technical drawings and specifications for adherence to project requirements and industry regulations.

• Preserve project technical documentation, including plans, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.

• Track project progress and performance while providing regular updates to the Project Manager.

• Recognize and address potential risks, implementing effective solutions.

• Assist with procurement by preparing requests for proposals and assessing bids.

• Promote communication within the project team and document decisions and changes related to the project.

• Engage in site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

• Aid in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and final deliverables.

• Contribute to project close-out activities and record lessons learned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical) or a related discipline.

• 1-3 years of experience in project engineering or a comparable role within the construction or engineering sector.

• Strong grasp of project management principles and methodologies.

• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the capability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

• Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and industry standards.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.

• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

• Must complete pre-employment screening, including professional reference checks and a criminal background check.
